How to Fix Peacock Audio Out of Sync Issues

Watching a movie where the sound is just slightly behind (or ahead) of the picture is incredibly distracting. This is a common issue with the Peacock app, particularly on smart TVs and external streaming boxes.
Here is how to get the audio and video back in perfect harmony.
Step 1: Rewind and Play
Sometimes, a momentary dip in your internet speed causes the video to stutter, but the audio keeps playing, resulting in a permanent delay for the rest of the show.
- Simply press the Rewind button on your remote (or the 10-second skip back button).
- Let the video buffer and start playing again.
- This often forces the app to resync the audio track to the video track.
Step 2: Change Your TV's Audio Format
If the issue happens on every show you watch on Peacock, your TV might be struggling to decode Dolby Digital audio.
- Open your TV's main Settings menu.
- Go to Sound or Audio.
- Look for a setting called Digital Audio Out or Audio Format.
- Change it from "Auto" or "Dolby Digital" to PCM or Stereo.
Step 3: Restart Your Soundbar
If you are using an external soundbar connected via HDMI ARC or Optical cable, the soundbar itself might be introducing the delay. Turn the soundbar off and unplug it from the wall for 30 seconds. Plug it back in and turn it on to see if the delay is gone.
